Morus microphylla Buckley, Red Mulberry
Leaves of Red Mulberry, Morus rubra, are
quite different from those of Texas Mulberry
trees. The leaves are larger, 8-12 inches long
and smooth margined rather then serrated.

Bark of Morus rubra varies in degrees of roughness from somewhat smooth with vertical
fissures pictured left to extremely rough with ridges, pictured right. The white spots on the
bark pictured left is lichen.
